Mike Antol's musical collaborations
read like a who's who of influential blues and rock artists.
He has played with artists such as Mike Dugan (Mike and the
Blues Mission), Bernie Brausewetter (B.B. & the Stingers),
G.W. Toye (G.W. Toye and The Blues All Stars), Robert Ross,
Bob Lanza, Gary Curtis, Todd Wolfe, Filthy Rich & the
Poor Boys, Mike Cunningham (Greg Allman), Rick Danko (The
Band), Shredni Vollmar, Buddy Cage (New Riders of the Purple
Sage), Marky Mark Ramone (The Ramones), Big Jack Johnson &
the Oilers, The Chuck Lambert Band, and many others.
He has toured and recorded extensively, and has played in
many major blues and music festivals and competitions, both
domestic and international.
Beginning with
his first band, Cyclops, in 1967, Mike Antol has drummed for
numerous groups throughout the years, always keeping himself
busy. His early influences came from artists like Moby Grape,
Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, Al Cooper, Blues Magoos,
Janis Joplin, Eric Clapton, Cream, etc.
When not busy gigging with The World Famous Gashouse Gang,
Mike plays with The Killer Blues Band, John Stafford's Blues
Invasion, The Smokin' Alternators, Scott Hunter, Mike Dugan,
Filthy Rich & the Poor Boys, and the North East Corridor
Jazz Trio.
